4 DAYS AGO - Lambeth Council is asking for people's views on the future development of Streatham High Road and Streatham Hill - but be quick as the consultation ends on August 23rd!A draft stategy published at the end of June was due to close for consultation on 9 August - after just six weeks, until local Green Party councillor Nicole Griffiths raised concerns that this didn't give time for word to spread - especially during the holiday period. Lambeth Council have extended the deadline - but only by a further two weeks.The draft strategy contains a proposal for significant change in the way Streatham High Road is used with shops concentrated in a much a shorter stretch between Kingscourt Rd and St Leonard's Church.
