12/06/2021 - Platform for Black-owned fashion brands launches at Market Peckham A platform dedicated to celebrating and pushing forward Black-owned fashion is launching this month, and is hosting a pop-up at Market Peckham to mark the exciting new venture.OURHOOD COMMUNITY will launch with brands including B-side, Bad Habits London, Martine Ali, Christian Kye, Savant Studios and EMBMNT, as well as TENS Studio and foursixte – labels founded by Peckham-based creatives. The platform puts creativity and consciousness at the heart of its ethos – in stark contrast to the fast fashion of recent years – and will promote some of the most innovative Black design talent from the UK, US and Europe. The pop-up at Market Peckham will give an ‘IRL’ taste of what the platform is all about, with workshops for young people interested in a career in fashion running alongside the carefully curated pieces up for sale.
