MK50 Events: MK Dons 10th Birthday Prom
A double celebration for MK50 and MK Dons’ 10th anniversary, with a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ spectacular performed by Milton Keynes City Orchestra.
The Milton Keynes Dons SET (Sports & Education Trust) is coming up to its 10th birthday. And to celebrate a decade of football coaching, sports and scholarships for children, young people and adults, there will be an evening of music and entertainment at Arena MK. The evening is planned for Friday 17th Nov 2017 and tickets are now available at the MK Dons Box Office or online.
The one and only Milton Keynes City Orchestra will be putting on a spectacular performance and the evening of music will feature iconic sporting themes. Conducted by Damian Iorio, there will be instantly recognisable songs such as Match of the Day, Ravel’s Bolero (Torvill and Dean’s gold medal winning song in the 1984 Olympics), and Pavarotti’s Nessun Dorma (the Theme for Italia ’90).
Followed by a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ finale with traditional pieces such as Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and many more. There will also be a support programme kicking off with a performance from Paige Broadhurst, the recent ‘Song for MK’ winner as well as many other artists.
This event is family friendly and family tickets are available to buy.
