MK50 Events: Feast of Fire, Sat 21st Oct
A fire-filled evening to celebrate Milton Keynes turning 50, with fire sculptures, installations, fireworks and more!
Feast of Fire is one of MK50’s official celebratory events, and everyone in town is invited to attend this spectacular fire show on Saturday 21st October in central MK.
This free outdoor event will include various show-stopping features and attractions. Including fire sculptures and unique installations by French artist Denis Tricot and sound artist Dan Fox, located at Midsummer Boulevard. As well as a spectacular torch-lit ‘People’s Procession’ made up of over 200 local residents and a ‘Spellbound’ shadow puppet show suitable for the whole family.
On the night there will also be live music from Mr Wilson’s Second Liners, a revolutionary genre-bashing band who are guaranteed to get audiences dancing. So you can expect some upbeat tunes in the style of New Orleans meets 90s club classics!
In addition to the music, fire art and torch procession, there will also be some fantastic fire drawings to explore plus firework displays and pyrotechnics to keep everyone entertained throughout the evening. Food and drink will be available on the night.
This event will take place on Midsummer Boulevard in the Theatre District and The Point Car Park from 6:30pm, and entry is completely free of charge.
