Half Term @ The British Schools Museum (and Hitchin Children’s Book Festival)
From children’s book mornings, crafts and games to cats, bats and Halloween fun, there’ so much going on at The British Schools Museum this half term.
Looking for some fun activities to do with the little ones this week? There is so much going on at The British Schools Museum in Hitchin, including the fantastic Children’s Book Festival taking place at the weekend.
Tues 24th October, 10am – 12pm
‘Dancing For Fun’
Country dancing and Maypole dancing, suitable for kids aged 6 years and over. The price is £3 per child for a 2 hour dancing session. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Wed 25th October, 10am – 1pm
‘Past The Final Pages Fun Day’
A fun event that has been inspired by the British School Museum’s exhibition on children’s books. The day will feature a whole host of interactive activities, including arts and crafts and children’s games. For kids that are aged 4 years and over. The price is £4 per child.
Thurs 26th October, 10am – 1pm
‘Rats, Bats & Cats Halloween Fun’
For spook-tastic Halloween themed arts and crafts, visit the museum on Thursday morning. And let your little monsters get hands on with glue sticks, card and craft materials to see what they can create. Suitable for kids that are 4 years old and over, and entry is £4 per child.
Sat 28th October, 10am – 12:30pm
‘Hitchin Children’s Book Festival’
Encourage your children to read more at the Hitchin Children’s Book Fest this weekend. Join two authors and illustrators, James Mayhew and Harriet Muncaster as well as other guests for a day of learning, stories and fun. A great day out for little bookworms and for the whole family. Tickets are £2 per person.
